With warm rivers, a semitropical climate, impressive geography, exotic cultures rafting in Nepal is an experience not to be missed. The rivers are of different types from grade 1 (easy moving water) to Grade 6 (virtually unbearable). The most of the rivers running through this terrain in our country are north to south. Some of the best rivers are Trishuli, Sunkoshi, Seti, Bheri, Karnali, Bhotekoshi & Kaligandaki. Many of these rivers are formed from the glaciers of the highest mountains in the world. When selecting rivers, beside the money and time aspect it is important to consider safety as a top priority. A day float on a gentle river may not appear as dangerous as 10 days raft down one of the more isolated and wild rivers. But safety must be top priority at all times.
